Daily Bread Sept. 11, 2018
Isaiah 25:8-9 He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. (9) It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."
As I write this little blog, it is 9:28am …. At this time 17 years ago the North Tower of the World Trade Center fell. I remember watching it unfold …. I was in awe, afraid and mad all at the same time. I remember breathing out prayers for those there … not really knowing what to even pray. I am forever grateful that I have a God that is there in the most difficult of times. There are no words of man that can strengthen, comfort or even bring hope … but we have God’s Word. I pray we never forget …. Never forget the men & women who died that die, the men & women who sacrificed that day … and I pray we never forget we have the Word of strength, comfort, hope and life.
